Westminster Group Plc $3 million New Contract Award

Westminster Group Plc, the AIM listed supplier of system solutions and products to the security, defence, fire protection and safety markets worldwide, is pleased to announce that it has secured a new contract for the supply of high technology scanning equipment to be used in a counter terrorism role to protect a key installation in a Middle Eastern country.

The contract, secured by the Group’s international division and valued at approximately $3m, is to provide a robust system for the screening of lorries and vehicles entering a high security oil & gas plant to scan for contraband and threats concealed within vehicles before they enter the facility. Once delivered there is further potential for ongoing recurring revenue via a multiyear maintenance agreement, due to the sophistication of the equipment concerned.

The order is expected to be delivered in the summer 2013.
