W Resources Plc, the tungsten, copper and gold mining, exploration, development and production company with assets in Spain and Portugal, has completed approximately 950 metres of a 1,500 metre diamond infill drilling programme at its La Parrilla Fast Track Mine (“FTM”), as part of the 2015 development programme for this project in Spain.
La Parrilla Mine has an Australasian Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) Inferred Resource of 46.92 Mt at 0.09% WO3. The infill drilling programme will define the mine plan for the initial mining operations and W expects an increase in the size and an upgrade in the quality of the resource definition. Holes ranging in depth from 90m-120m are being drilled in the area immediately adjacent to the original mining pit, which contains the existing resource.
The results from the first phase of the Definition Study for La Parrilla will be released later in June and subsequent resources and reserve increases incorporated in the September quarter.
Michael Masterman, Chairman of W Resources commented: “The infill drilling programme is proceeding quickly and with good tungsten intersections and the assay results will be progressively released to the market as they become available. This programme is a core component of the FTM development, which forms the first stage of the world-class La Parrilla mine development.”
