The Board of Sunrise Resources plc, the AIM-traded company focusing on the development of its CS Pozzolan-Perlite Project in Nevada, USA, is pleased to announce its audited results for the year ended 30 September 2019.
Operational Highlights for 2019
Ø Continuing focus on development of the CS Pozzolan-Perlite Project.
Ø 27-year mine Plan of Operations/Reclamation Permit Application submitted to the regulatory authorities.
Ø In final stages of mine permitting; Environmental Assessment for the Project at an advanced stage.
Ø Air quality permit application submitted.
Ø Water rights lease secured; water use permits applied for.
Ø Successful customer testing programmes continuing.
Ø Processing of a bulk sample of perlite produced a horticultural grade perlite and generated engineering data for process plant design.
Ø Larger 100-ton bulk sample was also extracted and is awaiting processing to provide samples to a wider range of perlite customers.
Ø Discovery of extensive areas of perlite at the NewPerl Project at multiple separate locations.
Ø NewPerl testwork has confirmed that large areas of perlite are suitable to produce horticultural grade perlite as future feed to the CS Project. Drilling and bulk sampling programme has been permitted.
Ø Concrete trials by two large cement/ready-mix companies benchmarked against existing commercial sources of pozzolan with positive results.
Ø Due diligence agreement signed for local mothballed grinding plant for grinding natural pozzolan.
Ø Recent market developments have resulted in increased demand for both products.
