Ridge Mining plc – Interims

Ridge Mining plc, the platinum group metal developer on the Bushveld Complex of South Africa, announces its results for the six months ended 30 June 2008.

Operational Highlights

• Blue Ridge on track for first production in Q4 08
• Planned ore stockpile in excess of 200,000 tonnes at plant commissioning
• Construction of the concentrator plant at Blue Ridge is well advanced – all key components have been delivered to site and erection is in progress
• Discussions are continuing with Impala, ARM and the IDC regarding an Independent Smelter Complex at Sheba’s Ridge

Financial Highlights

• Loss for the six months to 30 June 2008 of US$2.6 million
• Ridge’s share of the Blue Ridge hedge book shows a current surplus of Rand 132m
