Motive Television Awarded 3 Grants by Broadcasting Authority of Ireland

Motive Television PLC, the digital television technology, software and services provider, is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Motive Television Limited, has been awarded three grants totalling €245,000 (£205,000) by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland towards the cost of production of three sports documentaries for Setanta Sports.

“The Biggest Game in Town”is a documentary following the fortunes of Irish poker players at the Las Vegas World Series in 2012; the documentary “Batmen” explores the history of cricket in Ireland; and “When the Game Was Ours” follows the history of basketball in Ireland in the 1980’s.

All three documentaries are to be produced by Anne McLoughlin and Jamie D’Alton.  Anne McLoughlin, Producer and Managing Director at Motive Television, has more than 10 years television industry experience across a range of production roles and genres and joined Motive in 2005.  Jamie D’Alton, Producer and Director at Motive Television, began his career in the newsroom of RTÉ, moving to Canada in 2004 to work as a producer on Canadian breakfast television, before joining Motive Television in 2007 upon returning to Ireland.
