Hallin Marine Subsea International plc – HALLIN’S EUROPEAN BUSINESS AWARD IS SUBSEA FIRST!
Hallin Marine has been awarded the prestigious Ruban D’Honneur medal at the annual European Business Awards - the first subsea business to receive the honour.
Hallin received the medal in the blue ribbon event category ‘European Business of the Year’ and had to demonstrate ‘excellence, exceptional financial returns, strong growth and innovative strategies, plus market leadership in its sector.’
More than 7,000 companies across Europe engaged in the awards and the 70 finalists employed more than 3.2 million people worldwide and had a combined turnover of more than €776 billion.
Hallin director John Quinn collected the award from BBC and SKY TV presenter Adrienne Lawler at the glittering award ceremony in Rome.
The latest success for Hallin follows the integrated services provider to the energy industries being named the UK’s Business of the Year in November last year.
John Giddens, Hallin CEO, said: ‘This is a great honour for Hallin; not only is it recognition of our company’s achievement but will be seen as carrying the flag for the whole subsea industry.
‘Hopefully this award shows the wider business community across Europe what a great job oil and gas subsea contractors and operators do and will help raise the whole industry’s profile.
‘The Ruban D’Honneur accolade reflects all the qualities that constitute good business in Europe today and we are very honoured to be judged worthy of it.’
The European Business Awards is an independent Awards programme designed to recognise and promote excellence, best practice and innovation in the European business community, in line with the broad aims of the European Union and business representative groups across the member states.
