Discovery Metals Limited (DME) – Plutus Copper Prospect extended 1000m

Discovery Metals Limited is pleased to announce results from the latest thirty three infill and resource extension drill holes, completed in early 2008 as part of the pre-feasibility study being undertaken at the Zeta, Plutus and Petra prospects at the company’s 100% owned copper project in north west Botswana.  All holes reported in this announcement were drilled at the Plutus prospect.

Highlights:
• Infill drilling results increase Plutus prospect strike length by 1,000 metres to 8,500 metres while still open to the south west
• Plutus mineralisation now extends to within 900m of the Petra prospect,  directly along strike to the south west
• One drill hole intersection of 12 metres @2.47% Cu and 24.7 g/t Ag outside current resource
• Prefeasibility study remains on track for completion in July 2008

Discovery Metals’ Managing Director, Mr Brad Sampson said,
“The recent drill results at Plutus indicate a significant extension of the prospect area. They reinforce the prospectivity of Plutus and the possibility of significant increases in mineral resources.” 

Mr Sampson further commented,
“We have tested only approximately 3% of the prospective geological structures on our tenement package in north west Botswana and continue to record a high success rate of delineating mineralisation from our drilling. We have a dominant tenement position within the Kalahari Copper Belt and the Discovery Metals story becomes more compelling as our drilling continues.”
