Morses Club is a cash generative, UK consumer finance business. Our current business is the result of the successful combination in 2015 of two established brands in the Home Collected Credit ("HCC") market, Morses Club and Shopacheck Financial Services.
We have circa 230,000 customers, spread throughout mainland UK and Northern Ireland, and the second largest market share in the UK HCC market. We operate under an established brand, enjoy a loyal customer base and are building a market-leading UK non-standard consumer finance business.
Our business model is based on a face to face loan issue and collection process via agents that usually live and operate in the same communities as our customers. The Board believes that the model is simple and easy for customers to understand with no additional charges for arrangement or late payments. We source applications via telephone, through the internet and via referrals using a personal agent face to face service. The customer base has grown historically through the use of existing customer referrals, leaflet delivery and customer mailings.
The profile of our customer base, the nature of weekly collections, and the fact that no charges are levied for arrangement or non-payment are an intrinsic part of the Home Collected Credit service that is favoured by our customers, enabling them to vary their budgets effectively. Close management of the service by agents and managers ensures that customers are supported through any short term difficulties they may experience as part of our approach to forbearance.
